Originally from Philadelphia, Jackie Danziger is a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist. Jackie has presented work throughout NYC with Ars Nova, Pipeline Theater Company, The Attic, and Brooklyn Museum. She has performed in numerous short films and web sketches. She has received grants from the Brooklyn Arts Council and the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs for her original musical for young audiences entitled The Lost Light. Her recent project Public Disruption / Private Powers, a collaboration with fellow PIMA student, Rebecca Posner and the subway dance team WeliveThis, was shown at Brooklyn Museum as part of Assembly Required: Making Space for Community Engagement, a festival celebrating socially engaged art. Each spring Jackie proudly teaches with the Future Filmmakers Workshop at New York University, a tuition-free intensive production workshop for high schools students from backgrounds typically under-represented in the film industry. She co-hosts and produces the weekly podcast “It’s Been a Week” with her long-time comedy partner James Tison, recorded live at Brooklyn College WBCR and available on iTunes and Soundcloud.
