Julia Frey, a Philadelphia native, has split her entire career between her hometown and New York. She is a company member of New Paradise Laboratories, the experimental physical theater company with whom she created and performed The Adults, 27, Prom, and 10 Unnameable Spectacles. In 2014, NPL were artists-in-residence at the University of Washington, where she guided MFA candidates as they devised Cold Empty Terrible. Some of her recent New York credits include: Naturalistic Commercials (Samuel French OOB), Teen Wolf/Teen Wolf Too (Mt Tremper Arts Festival), Some Editing and Some Theme Music (FringeNYC, NOLA Fringe). In Philadelphia she has performed with FringeArts, Quintessence, Luna Theater, and ComedySportz. For over a decade, she has performed, hosted, and taught comedy improv in both of her cities, across the country, and on a giant boat. B.A. from Bard College.
