Rebecca Posner makes, performs, and teaches art in Brooklyn and beyond. Her work is largely rooted in the practices of sculpture, writing, and movement with a strong interest in the ritual and community engagement. She is co-founder and curator of the interdisciplinary artists’ salon The Big Intimate. Ongoing collaborations include an experimental performance series based on Virginia Woolf’s The Waves and a performance and recording cycle in the sonic duo External Lynx. She teaches workshops on kinesthetic awareness and anatomical study, as well as visual art and performance to children of all ages. Rebecca holds a B.A. in Studio Art and English, an M.A. in Education from Clark University, and is currently pursuing her M.F.A. at PIMA Brooklyn College.
