Jason Schuler is a graduate of the PIMA MFA program at Brooklyn College. He is the founder and artistic director of the award winning Operating Theater Company. OTC productions he has directed have been presented at: Abron’s Arts Center, The Brick, Cherry Lane Theater, and Obie Award-Winning Little Theater at Tonic & Dixon Place (12x), Catch Series (7x) PS122’s Avant-Garde-Arama (2x) and in Los Angeles at The MET theater and El Cid.
His work has received grants from The Puffin Foundation, A.R.T./New York’s Nancy Quinn Fund, and Creative Space Grant and LMCC SwingSpace. He has a BFA from NYU in Drama (Experimental Theater Wing) and Film Production. He is interested in performance involving the subconscious and conceptual ideas about hypnosis, and the border of technology and the spirituality.
